The Charity - www.prostate-cancer.org.uk
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It kills 10,000 men every year in the UK.

Prostate cancer has suffered a legacy of neglect and underfunding. There are still no reliable screening tests to save lives from this common cancer. There are only limited treatments for advanced disease.

The Prostate Cancer Charity is the leading charity in the UK focused specifically on prostate cancer. We are the only charity fighting prostate cancer on every front, through research, support, information and campaigning. We rely on voluntary donations and receive no government funding.

  • Our helpline is the only one in the UK staffed by expert, prostate cancer specialist nurses. The Helpline provides independent, free and reliable information and support to men and their families.
  • The Prostate Cancer Charity funds high quality research into the causes, treatment and impact of prostate cancer.
  • We raise awareness through the media, politicians and policy makers, so that men and their families receive the information, resources and support they deserve.
Our vision is a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer.

The Charity relies totally on voluntary donations; every year we need to raise over £5 million and there is always so much more we could do. That is why the Real Man Cycling Challenge is so important – as a high profile event with the potential to raise significant funds.

£1 million could fund ten major research projects in the search for treatments

£1 million could fund our Helpline – staffed by specialist nurses - for three years
